Permanent Secretary Dies Barely 48 Hours After Swearing In

Mrs Olubunmi Odumusi, a permanent secretary in the Ogun State civil service was reported to have died barely 48 hours after she was sworn into her new office.

The 57-year-old Permanent Secretary was reported to have died in her sleep.

According to relatives of the deceased, it was revealed that Mrs. Odumusi’s death is connected to her prolonged battle with cancer.

The family further revealed that Mrs Odumusi had spent a fortune on treatment of the ailment as she was flown to the United States for treatment after she received news of her promotion.

The deceased was reported to have been flown back into the country to attend her inauguration which held on Thursday.

She died on Friday.
