A pharmacist, Solomon Akuma is due to reappear in court on October 7, 2020, to continue his trial for terrorism and other charges after he expressed a wish to “eliminate” President Muhammadu Buhari and his late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.

Akuma, an Abia State resident, had made the threat in March 2020 while responding to a question on Twitter.

The question was: “If $1m hits your account, your next move?”

Responding with the Twitter account Chukwuebuka S.A. @princeelitestar, the accused said, “pay a Russian sniper to eliminate Buhari and Abba Kyari”.

The Herald gathered that the tweet was later deleted and Akuma tried to change his Twitter account name.

It was learnt that police authorities tracked and arrested Akuma, and detained him for nearly three months.
