Marvel fans have been the happiest people on earth over the last decade or so with a slew of stellar movies that have revitalised the interest of people in Super Heroes and have made huge amounts of money.

The fans can rejoice again as a picture of Tom Hardy in his role as Eddie Brock in the upcoming release has been released.

The excitement is sky high for the standalone Venom movie which comes out in October and fans are even more stoked now with the release of this image.

The image comes from IGN, and it’s pretty different to the comic-book iteration, with Hardy’s Brock less bulky than previous takes – and with a weird hippy bracelet taking some of the edge off the character.

When director Ruben Fleischer at a Brazil Comic con was asked about which Venom viewers could hope to see, he said; We want to be as true as possible to the comics with our film, but our story is primarily based on the ‘Lethal Protector‘ and ‘Planet Of The Symbiotes‘ books.”

This got people excited as the ‘lethal protector’ arc showed a different side of Venom, showing him more as an anti-hero rather than just a Spiderman villain. While ‘Planet Of The Symbiotes‘ revolves around an invasion of symbiotes (the alien species Eddie Brock uses as his costume) with Venom teaming up with Spider-Man to stop them.

Spiderman will not be in the movie (contract and rights issues) so it is expected that the story will be touched a bit,]
