Hon. Desmond Elliot who represents Surulere in the Lagos State House of Assembly performed an act of kindness to one of his constituents when he rented an apartment for a homeless laundry woman who is under his constituency.
The Honorable has been trying to do what’s best for his people and even when criticized he’s engaged his constituents calmly and rationally.
Recall that he was accused of not fulfilling his promise to bring better power supply in the Surulere and when called out on it, he said he was not PHCN and urged patience and that he was working on it.
On the matter of the homeless woman, he wrote this online, “So I rehabilitated this bore hole a few months ago, and the woman in this picture apparently is homeless and lives there at that spot, she bought a generator to power the bore hole (she washes clothes for a living). Boy was I impressed? So I decided to give her a little surprise. She got a clean, fresh, room apartment with a television, goTV, fan, matress and chair ..a place to retire to after a days work. Congrats to her”.
