What started as a day of joy for a newlywed couple in Lagos on Sunday ended in disaster after their car tumbled on their way back from church, leaving a groomsman dead.
As reported by newsroom.ng, quoting a witness, the couple’s car somersaulted three times around Jakande, on the Lekki-Epe Expressway on Sunday afternoon after it lost control.
The incident reportedly left the groom wailing loudly while his bride rolled on the hot tarmac with her wedding gown.
A suspected thief also reportedly tried to take advantage of the situation to steal a purse from the blood-soaked Toyota Sienna vehicle.
