PHOTOS: Man Killed By Lawyer Wife Laid to Rest -

It was muted atmosphere as the late Mr. Sym Otike Odibi who according to reports was murdered in his sleep by his lawyer wife was laid to rest.

The incident was said to have happened at the couple’s home in Diamond Estate, Sangotedo, Ajah.

Odibi was buried on Thursday at the VCC by Mayfair Gardens, Ajah.

She then attempted suicide and stabbed herself in the stomach hoping to die in the process.

This did not happen, however, as Udeme survived the suicide attempt and was rushed to the hospital where she was admitted and was responding to treatment.

According to the Punch, Otike had already been threatened by his wife a day before his murder and he had told his mother and younger sister about the threat. It was a harbinger of things to come which ultimately led to Odibi’s death.

The marriage was 3-years-old and had not produced an issue, a problem that has been speculated could have been partly to blame for the disintegration of the marriage and the victim’s death. There were also reports of abuse in the marriage.
