Traditionalists on Saturday joined the Yoruba Nation protesters in demand for a sovereign Yoruba state.

Traditionalists on Saturday joined the Yoruba Nation protesters in demand for a sovereign Yoruba state.

The traditionalists were dressed in white wrappers and costumes at the protest in Ojota.

Protesters had assembled at the Gani Fawehinmi Park, despite police orders against the rally.

Despite the heavy presence of armed policemen and soldiers, some women in white wrapper were seen at the protest ground.

The protesters were heard chanting different kinds of freedom songs, including, “No going back,” “We want Oodua Nation,” among others

 

Meanwhile, a teenage girl has been killed by a stray bullet during the Yoruba nation rally.

Protesters accused the police present at the venue of her death.
