Police Bars BBOG from Entering Aso Rock

The protest being undertaken by the Bring Back out Girls (BBOG) group hit a snag as police and other security agents have refused to grant access to the group.

The BBOG group marched in Abuja this morning in a peaceful protest over the abduction of the Chibok schoolgirls abducted two years ago.

The group was to march into Aso Rock and the Presidential villa to show their seriousness for the cause and to force the President to listen to them.

But they have now been barred for going any further.

Vocal group member, Oby Ezekwesili,  confronted a police officer who said he had orders not to allow the group gain access to the villa.

She said it was not right for the group to be denied access to see President Muhammadu Buhari as they had followed due protocol.

According to The Cable, the group further said the comment credited to Sidiq Abubakar, the chief of air staff, saying the video clip recently released by Boko Haram was “technically deficient” shows government’s lack of transparency and truthful in its fight against the insurgency.

The BBOG group is holding a press conference in front of the presidential villa. You can check out the photos below.
