Following criticisms that greeted the viral video of a Police officer with POS allegedly demanding atm card of a young man, the Nigeria Police has launched an investigation into the case.
The Nigeria Police Force made the disclosure in a statement.
According to the statement, investigations have already commenced to ascertain the authenticity of the video.
The Inspector-General in the statement condemned corruption in its entirety and assured Nigerians of the Force’s commitment in ridding the nation of officers found guilty of the scourge
“The Nigerian Police Force has commenced investigations to unravel the authenticity of the video, location of incident and identity of persons captured in the viral video where some persons in Police uniform were captured, allegedly with POS machine and demanding ATM card from a member of the public.”

“The IGP condemns all acts of corruption by Public Servants, particularly Police officers and is committed to bringing to book any officer found wanting in this regard.”
