Police Officer Who Aided Child Killer’s Escape In Port Harcourt Identified, Remanded

The policemen who allegedly aided a 200-level University of Port Harcourt student to escape prison after he was caught with the dead body of an 8-year-old girl has been identified.

The Police Sergeant identified as JohnBosco Okoroeze was reported to have aided the student who was reported to have killed his neighbours daughter for ritual purpose escape prison on Sunday.

Sergeant JohnBosco Okoroeze was following his arrest arraigned before a Port Harcourt Magistrate court in the River State capital where he was ordered to be remanded in prison.

The police officer is faced with charges for the negligence of duty leading to the escape of the ritual suspect.

The Chief Magistrate, Andrew Jaja, after pronouncing that the officer be remanded in prison ordered that the case file be handed over to the Department of Public Prosecution.

Recall that the ritual suspect identified as Maxwell Ifeanyi Dike, was said to have cut off the vital parts of the eight-year-old girl before attempting to dump her body.
