A policeman in the United States has been dismissed from his job after it was proved that he bit another man’s testicles during a fight.
The police officer, 31-year-old Michael Flaig of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, was said to be off duty when the incident occurred.
He was arrested on May 5 after engaging in a street brawl outside a bar with another man whom he accused of passing unwanted advances at his female roommate.
A police spokesperson Jacklyn Davis who said it was a personnel issue stressed that the affected officer left his job for unspecified reasons on September 25.
The police officer was charged after the incident with misdemeanour second-degree assault, public intoxication and endangering the victim’s safety, police said.
He was however convicted of public intoxication and endangering the safety of another man. He is presently serving one year of probation.
