Sgt Sampson Abuo, a policeman attached to the Delta State Command, has been arrested after shooting a student and a civil servant over N1,000 bribe and fleeing.
The suspect with Force No: 424188 shot Sofia Ogogo, a student of Delta State Polytechnic , Ogwashi – Uku, and a civil servant, Victor Emeagwai at a checkpoint in Ibusa, a town close to the state capital.
The suspect was with four of his colleagues at the checkpoint when the incident happened.
The DPO of the offending officer and the Assistant Superintendent of Police who led the team to the checkpoint have been queried, The Punch reported on Friday, quoting the State Police Relations Officer , Mr. Andrew Aniamaka.
