Sister Federica and Sister Isabel, have shocked the world by getting married. The Sisters tied the knot in Pinerolo, near Turin and later on had a secret civil ceremony in Italy.

The Reverend Sisters, who are supposed to be living contemplative lives, ministering and praying for the world have left the Pope saddened with the news.

The lesbian sisters have openly expressed themselves, saying they decided to follow their heart after hearing the Pope’s comments on gay people in 2013, when he said: “Who am I to judge?”

While some parts of the world abhors the act, as men and women having carnal knowledge of another of the same sex is considered to be a deviant behavior not worthy of practicing, some others accept and respect the choices of the individuals.

Pope Francis had said all transsexuals and homosexuals should be ‘welcomed’ and embraced by the Catholic Church, but was not pleased with the news.

The Vatican Deputy Secretary of the State, Archbishop Angelo Becciu said, “How much sadness on the pope’s face when I read him the news of the two married.”
