Portugal national team head coach, Roberto Martinez, has thrown his support behind midfielder Vitinha as a strong contender for the Ballon d’Or, following a remarkable season with Paris Saint-Germain.
Vitinha played a pivotal role in PSG’s historic Treble-winning campaign, helping the French giants secure the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France, and a dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final.
Speaking to A Bola after Portugal’s 2-1 win over Germany in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday night, Martinez praised the midfielder’s consistency and influence throughout the season.
