Few days to the inauguration of Emeka Ihedioha, the governor-elect of Imo State,  the outgoing governor, Rochas Okorocha, has started moving his personal effects, including some key power equipment out of the government house, Herald Nigeria has learnt.

Okorocha, who has reportedly stopped living at the Owerri Government House, now  comes to work daily, holds state functions and leaves at the end of the day to his Spibat Home.

It was gathered that the recent move has long been in the pipeline when, in  December 2018, the governor hinted that he may soon relocate to his Spibat Home around Amakohia, Owerri North, from where he said he would prosecute the 2019 elections, which ultimately did not favour him.

However, aside from the crowd of political associates that no longer frequent the government house,  most of the big generators powering key areas in the place have also been moved out to an unknown destination.

Recall that Okorocha had during March governorship elections failed to install his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, as the new governor of the state.

While he also won the senatorial election to represent Imo North, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has seized his certificate of return, citing irregularities during the polls.
