Hate or love him, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is a man that loves to speak his mind on any issue of burning national interest.

This time, the controversial politician has urged Nigerians to back their newly-appointed ministers with prayers, stressing that they will need it for success in their new roles.

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain admonished the ministers to see their appointment as an opportunity to serve their country, and not as an avenue for self-aggrandisement.

“Now that presidential campaigns are over, I congratulate them and wish them well, they are Federal Ministers meant to be working for Nigerians now not just for the APC leaders,” he noted.

Realising this fact, he said, would help them succeed on the job.

Fani-Kayode, who was a Minister for Aviation and Culture and Tourism said: “I was a minister almost ten years ago and I know what it is like. It is not easy, so they need our prayers and we will continue praying for them.

While urging Nigerians to keep the new ministers on their toes through constructive criticism so that they will not forget their primary reason for being there, he stated: “We must support and pray for them as best as we can, let us hope that they step up to the heat and do a good job.”
