In a bizarre incident, A pregnant woman from Brazil who was allegedly lured to a fake baby shower by an old school friend has been found dead with her baby cut out of her body.
The woman, identified as Flavia Godinho Mafra was said to be 36 weeks gone when she was found dead in Canelinha, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
The old school of Godinho confessed that a brick was the murder weapon. According to the suspect, she lured Godinho to the murder scene on the pretence of a baby shower where she killed her, NSC total reports.

The detective attached to the case, Paulo Alexandre Freyesleben e Silva confirmed that the cause of death of the 24-year-old victim, was a sharp cut to the abdomen and wounds from a brick, according to G1 newspaper.
On August 28, the pregnant woman’s mother and husband reportedly found the woman’s lifeless body at an abandoned pottery yard with the baby cut out from her.
According to local police, the baby was taken to hospital by the suspect and her husband, who were both apprehended by officers.
The suspect, who were friends during their school days, reportedly confessed to police that she had nurtured the idea of stealing a child after she lost her own baby due to a miscarriage in January. She finally executed the idea when she lured her friend.
The baby girl remains in hospital where she is said to be receiving treatment for the injuries sustained when she was allegedly ripped from her mother’s belly.
Authorites are yet to confirm if the baby was removed while her mother was alive or if she was already dead.
Flavia, who majored in pedagogy and had a job as a substitute teacher at a school, has been laid to rest the Municipal Cemetery of Canelinha.
