Watford striker Troy Deeney and Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah are the reference points for the #Enough anti-racism campaign launched by England’s Professional Footballers’ Association on Thursday.
Stars from the Premier League and Wales held in a 24-hour social media boycott on Friday in a bid to combat racist abuse online. The footballers will stay off all social media from 9:00 am (0800 GMT) Friday.
Recall that Deeney had to block replies to his Instagram account earlier this month after receiving abuse.
Salah was also a target of Islamophobic abuse by Chelsea fans last week, with his Coach, Jurgen Klopp saying he would have no hesitation in taking his players off the pitch.

According to the PFA, the boycott was the “first step in a longer campaign to tackle racism in football”.
