The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has challenged former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, to present his primary school leaving certificate to prove he attended school.
The Chairman of Edo State PDP Campaign Council for the 2020 gubernatorial election, Chief Dan Orbih issued the challenge on Monday while addressing party members and supporters at Ososo and Dangbala wards in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State.
He further dared the former governor to come clean on the cause of the quarrel between him and his erstwhile protégé, Godwin Obaseki.
“They said Governor Godwin Obaseki who graduated from University of Ibadan has a Certificate. I’m bold to say that I challenge Adams Oshiomhole to show us his primary six Certificate.
“He should allow Edo people to decide who governs them…In four years, Godwin Obaseki has done more than what Oshiomhole did in eight years,” Orbih said.
Meanwhile, the state governor and PDP candidate in the forthcoming election, Obaseki promised that the construction of the 12.75km Ososo-Okpella road abandoned by the Oshiomhole administration would commence before end of the year.
The governor revealed that the chairman of BUA Cement company assured him that his organisation would fund the project.
Obaseki, who highlighted some of his first-term achievements, disclosed that his administration would execute maintenance work at the Ojirami Dam established by the administration of late Brig. General Samuel Ogbemudia (Rted) in a bid to address acute water supply in the rural area.
