“Those working for CLEAN money are not complaining” – Presidency reacts to Omotola’s “hellish country” comment

The personal assistant to President Buhari on new media, Bashir Ahmad, has responded to Omotola Ekeindes tweet about the situation of the country.

The popular Nollywood actress had on Monday, tagged Buhari and Osinbajo on her official Twitter account, asking them to take responsibility for the incessant killings and hardships that have turned Nigeria into a “hellish” nation.

She stated, “The Country Under your watch is Hellish! @ProfOsinbajo @MBuhari @NGRPresident The lack of Money in circulation, Now coupled with the Continuous Assault n Killings by Uniformed men’ll make this Country implode!!!It’s Unbearable! Do something!Insecurity!Fear n Desperation everywhere.”

However, Ahmad, who does not seem to share a similar opinion, took to his personal page on the same platform to address the actress’ comments.
The media aide stressed the fact that Nigerians who earn legitimate income cannot claim to be living in a hellish country as she claimed and sighted examples of the progress witnessed in the north during the current administration.

He stated, “Madam Omotola those who are working for CLEAN money are not complaining and will never refer our dear country as ‘hellish’. In Kano State alone, from 2015 to 2018, no fewer than 200 medium and small scale rice milling centres emerged. For that, billions circulated among millions.”
