President Buhari The Grinch That Stole Christmas

3 Min Read

President Muhammad Buhari is not in the good books of many Nigerians this festive season as he has managed to steal the festiveness from the season, and turned it to restiveness.

The entire nation is on its knees as a result of fuel scarcity, which the President who also doubles as the minister of petroleum has proven to be clueless to remedy.

So many Nigerians are going this Christmas season unable to travel home for the holidays, unemployed, broke, and angry. However, President Buhari did leave Nigerians with a little present… queues.

The President in a singular act of kindness has been able to procure a time machine from his friends in West Germany and instead of using it to take Nigerians to the future, he has blasted them to the past. 1984 to be specific, the last time he was president and queues also littered the national landscape.

These days to use an ATM, there is a very long queue. In fact just yesterday in Sokoto, a soldier slapped a policeman for stopping him from shunting a queue at a UBA ATM. Only the commander in chief and his goons are immune from queues. The queues are for the bloody civilians.

To procure fuel in major cities across Nigeria, there are queues as long as the line to see the Pope of Rome, incidentally, the Pope shares a birth date with Muhammad Buhari, who recently officially turned 75. This may be a coincidence but over to the witty conspiracy theorists.

President Muhammad Buhari aka ‘Za Oza Grinch’ has made Christmas the most frustrating time to be a Nigerian as his policies and ineptitude impoverish millions of Nigerians with each successive year he holds the mantle of leadership, aloof as to what to do with it. Nigerians are roasting. Even twitter trolls have reduced due to the opportunity cost involved in buying data or buying bread and beans along with data to charge their smartphones.

Some say the fuel scarcity is not the fault of Za Oza Grinch and that the wicked fuel marketers are to blame, but is this not why Buhari was elected to be President? To stop the wickedness and greed. Seems he has become a party and ring leader of the same folks he campaigned to stop in their tracks.

Meanwhile, Nigerians are suffering and smiling. In the words of Dame Peshe, “Dia is God oooooooo.”
