President Buhari Meets With Jonathan, Obasanjo Over Niger Delta Crisis

Former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan were hosted at Aso Villa, by President Muhammad Buhari.

Jonathan who recently arrived Nigeria after a series of speaking tours in USA, UK, and Africa was invited to Aso Villa by President Buhari. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is reported to have brokered the meeting.

Online medium, Sahara Reporters said the meeting was to discuss the renewed agitation in the creeks by Niger Delta militants.

A new group, the Avengers has caused oil production in Nigeria to drop to 34 year lows as government is reportedly losing over N11 billion daily in revenue as a result of pipeline bombings.

During the meeting which took place at the Presidential residence of Aso Villa, Buhari is also reported to have  assured Goodluck that there are no plans to arrest him or his wife over the graft that occurred during his administration.
