A self-acclaimed prophet, Muyiwa Adesoye has been dragged before an Ejigbo Magistrate Court for allegedly having carnal knowledge of a nurse under false pretext and duping her of N25,000.
Adesoye, a resident of Ikotun in Alimosho Local Government Council, was said to have told the nurse she was under the influence of a spiritual husband and had to be spiritually delivered because it was the cause of her career problems.
This he promised to do if she would give him N25,000, and sleep with him, the purpose of which would be to “anoint” her private part and keep the spiritual husband away.
The nurse was said to have followed him to a hotel around, where he allegedly slept with her severally, after which he gave her a soap with which to take her bath as he instructed her.
However problem arose when after giving the prophet her two phones and a gift, she summoned the courage to tell her parents what had happened between her and the prophet.
The parents promptly reported the matter to the Area “M” Police Command in Idimu and the prophet was arrested.
Adesoye pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him and applied for bail.
He has been remanded in prison custody pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
