A wave of mysterious deaths across the state has also been linked to COVID-19 infections with experts saying at least 41 percent of the dead were infected with the virus.

“When about 100 samples are delivered, there are five to ten that are positive (for coronavirus).

“But now, when 100 samples are returned, about 80 are coronavirus cases.”

Gwarzo said as he raised an alarm over the dire situation in the state.

He also revealed that travel restrictions had prevented the rich from going to hospitals abroad like they usually do. Hence many of them stay away from hospitals and die in their houses.
