Re -Instatement Of Peace In Enugu State: Police Boss Vows To Cleanse The State

A courtesy visit was paid to Enugu State Police boss, Abubakar Mohammed by a group called The Nigerian Institute for Culture and Orientation. During this visit, Enugu State police boss said he was there to re-instate peace in the state and rid the state of all kinds of crimes and violent acts. He advised the group to be good citizens of the country, law abiding, and he also told them to endeavor to strengthen their partnership with the police by sending vital information so that the society can be cleansed.
The chairman of the group, Nwajagu Nnaemeka,talked about about culture re-orientation. He stressed that culture is the total way of life of a people, and thus, should be protected. He blames crimes and violent acts like murder, rape, thuggery, armed robbery, kidnapping, etc on motion pictures and films, as they are not part of the Nigerian culture. He said our people need orientation so that they can know that these acts and crimes are not part of our culture. He also says that the group was at the Command because they need to partner with the Command in other to orientate the citizens on Nigerian values, norms and culture.
Commissioner of Police, his deputy, Abdullalu J, Chafe and the State Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu welcomed the group with open arms.
