Reekado Banks Casts Doubt on Marriage Plans With Fiancée, Blames Emotional Intelligence

Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has revealed that he is no longer certain about marrying his fiancée and the mother of his child, just two months after announcing plans to tie the knot.

Speaking during an appearance on TVC’s Interview with Esther Oye, the former Mavin Records artist admitted that he has had a change of heart since his last public statement about settling down.

“I was pretty sure about my stance at my last interview, but I’m now in a different place,” Reekado said. “It’s only been two months since the interview. That’s why I said I can’t really say anything about it now. I was sure then, but I’m not sure now.”

He attributed his wavering decision to personal growth and a need to develop his emotional intelligence.

“I wouldn’t blame it on music but on myself and my emotional intelligence, which I am still working on,” he added.

Reekado Banks and his fiancée welcomed a baby boy in November 2024. In December, they made their first public appearance together, fueling speculation that wedding bells were near.
