Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has said that the powerful forces that conspired to remove former President Goodluck Jonathan from office are also plotting to remove incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

Jonathan lost to Buhari in an unprecedented manner in 2015, after defeating the same Buhari in 2011.

However, Fani-Kayode said in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle that the forces that came together to ensure Buhari’s election in 2015 had deserted him.

Fani-Kayode posted the tweet on his verified Twitter handle late Friday night before deleting it shortly afterwards.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who withdrew support from Jonathan in the build-up to the 2015 general election, in January 2018 wrote a 13-page viral letter in which he accused Buhari of disappointing Nigerians.

He also urged the president not to seek reelection in 2019.

Another former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida in a controversial statement lamented the security challenges in the country and also called on Buhari not to seek reelection.

”The ultimatum given to @MBuhari by the NASS is too little, too late. You do not warn a snake before you crush its head. You simply take your aim and strike it with one powerful and lethal blow. @MBuhari has committed many impeachable offences. Stop playing games! Impeach him NOW!”

These are the conditions President Buhari must fulfil before the 2019 election to avert impeachment, according to the lawmakers.

1. The Security Agencies must be given marching orders to curtail the sustained killing of Nigerians across the country and protect lives and properties of Nigerians as this is the primary duty of any responsible Government;

2. The systematic harassment and humiliation by the Executive of perceived political opponents, people with contrary opinions including Legislators and Judiciary by the police and other security agencies must stop;
