Former presidential candidate, Reno Omokri has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s gaffe in Warri, Delta State on Thursday.

At a campaign rally at the Warri Township Stadium, Delta on Thursday, the president, who wanted to hand over the APC’s flag to the gubernatorial candidate in Delta, described him as “governortorial” candidate.

Buhari said, “I am handing over this flag of honour to our presidential candidate.”

When the man to his left corrected him, saying “gubernatorial”, Buhari responded with “to our senatorial candidate”.

Again, the man corrected him, saying “gubernatorial”. This time, Buhari said: “governortorial candidate”.

Omokri, who took to his verified Twitter handle, said that the latest gaffe showed that the president should abandon his second-term ambition and return home.

He said, “After watching the video of President Muhammadu Buhari in Delta State, I can only conclude that those who are pushing the man to go for a second term are his worst enemies. The man is clearly tired and retired. Why are they doing this to him? Allow the poor man go to rest!”
