Senator Ali Ndume has claimed that a repentant Boko Haram terrorist gave out classified intelligence about the movement of Nigerian Army before the recent attacks in Damboa.

Ali Ndume, Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Nigerian Army, made the claim during the budget defence of the military on Wednesday, November 11.

Ndume who has always condemned the deradicalization, rehabilitation, and reintegration program of Boko Haram terrorists known as Operation Safe Corridor, accused the federal government of pampering terrorists.

According to him, it was outrageous that Boko Haram insurgents known for wanton killings of innocent citizens would be reintegrated into the society based on ‘repentance’.

Speaking on the betrayal of a recently repentant terrorist, Sen. Ndume disclosed the illegal sharing of classified information led to the recent attack on Nigerian Army in Damboa.

“I am in disagreement with the government on the issue of deradicalising and reintergrating. My position is still the same. The executive’s position is different but I still maintain that position. You can’t be resettling people, pampering them while the war is not over.
