Members of House of Representatives have dared Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta Development Commission to publish the names of lawmakers who were awarded NDDC contracts within 48 hours.

This is coming after Akpabio at an investigative hearing of misappropriation of funds on Monday disclosed 90 percent of projects were awarded to lawmakers.

However, the Panel Chairman did not allow the Minister to elaborate on these claims thwarting the attempts of his female colleague who slammed Akpabio for putting the integrity of lawmakers in question.

An argument soon ensued between both parties as Akpabio said the past Chairman and present Chairman were privy to the information.

In a bid to restore calm to the erring parties, the Panel Chairman could be heard saying ” ORDER! oRDER! IT’S OKAY” Footage showed the Chairman relentlessly tapping the shoulders of his female colleague to stop questioning the NDDC Minister on the claims.

However, Femi Gbajabiamila has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Akpabio to publish the names, companies, contracts of lawmakers who were awarded NDDC contracts.

Gbajabiamila disclosed he initially found the allegations laughable until he realized he was putting the integrity of the house in question, an act that that cannot be condoned.

He has therefore threatened the NDDC Minister to publish the names of the lawmakers or face the full wrath of the house.
