Prophet Joel Ogebe shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) that many users quickly linked to the revered evangelist: “A giant has gone to be with the Lord. My father, my father, the chariot of Israel. Heaven rejoices. Uyo.”
Shortly after, a major Christian news platform, Church Gist, shared a direct announcement on Facebook, further amplifying the claims:
“A GENERAL TAKES A BOW! EVANGELIST UMA UKPAI HAS GONE TO BE WITH THE LORD. REST IN POWER, SIR.”
