Riot over Rules: Students protest as Bowen University shuts down

The management of Bowen University has announced the closure of the institution due to the recent riots which led to vandalism of school property and a dent in the image of the university.

The letter from the management dated 20th March obtained by The Herald states.

This is to inform all categories of students that the Vice Chancellor acting on behalf of the Council, Senate and Management of the University have decided to temporarily close the university.

Consequently all students are hereby ordered to vacate the University Campus with immediate effect.

A date on resumption will be communicated to you in due course.
