Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has described the tribunal judgment that nullified the election of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State as a huge embarrassment.
Mimiko while speaking during an interview with journalists in Akure said “We have the mindset that Tribunal judgment is either way but the Rivers State Election tribunal judgment delivered last Saturday is embarrassing.
“We have challenged the jurisdiction of the tribunal sitting in Abuja when Port Harcourt is peaceful. The Chairman of the tribunal was changed and The Supreme Court will deliver judgment on the jurisdiction case before it this week.
“Why is the tribunal in a haste to deliver the judgment when they still have next week before their date will lapse?”
He expressed optimism that the judgement will be reversed by the Court of Appeal.
