Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is unlikely to sign for Manchester United or Chelsea this summer, as Premier League clubs are unwilling to meet his wage demands.
Osimhen, currently on a one-year loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, is expected to leave the Serie A club permanently at the end of the season. Despite reported interest from top English clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, Romano insists the financial terms involved present a major stumbling block.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano explained:
“He wants the same salary he’s earning at Napoli — €12 million net, plus commissions and his €75 million release clause. No English club is ready to pay him €12 million net.”

The transfer insider also revealed that Osimhen came close to joining Chelsea last summer, after the Blues reached a late loan agreement with Napoli. However, the move collapsed because Chelsea were unwilling to break their wage structure for the Super Eagles forward.
As it stands, Osimhen’s next move remains uncertain, with Premier League sides reluctant to meet his high salary expectations.
