Ronaldo Delima, legendary Brazil forward, has stated that he since he became a major stakeholder at Real Valladolid, he has had a new sense of purpose.

The one time FIFA world player of the year purchased about 51 percent of the club’s total stakes in September and claims it has been a good fit for him.

He explained,  “Not only is it a club with 90 years of history behind it, it’s a city with 300,000 inhabitants and is a place that breathes football and all this means it has huge potential.

“To be able to inspire people is better than to score a hat-trick against Barcelona. I found exactly what I wanted and I have got a lot to give them too.”

He said, “I’ve asked Florentino Perez if we can have him, but I think it might be difficult!”

Ronaldo Delima then admitted that he was ins support of the plans to play some La Liga games in the US. Although, the deal has had a set back this week as Barcelona opted out because of some disagreements with the organizers.

Reacting to the plans, he said, “Playing abroad is aligned with our project. You need to be known both at home and abroad. I’m in favor, but our fan base will decide in the end. It is an interesting proposition for our club and our brand.”
