Ronaldo hints at retiring from professional football

Portugal and Juventus star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that he may quit playing football at the professional level next year if no longer enjoys playing football by then.

He then stated that he could also play until he becomes 40 or 41-years-old but he was not certain about it yet.

According to reports by Express UK and Fox News, Ronaldo, who is now 34-years-old revealed his plans when being interviewed by a Portuguese Channel. TV1.

He was quoted saying, “I don’t think about that,” Ronaldo told TVI on Tuesday. Maybe I can leave my career next year … but I can also play up to 40 or 41.

“I don’t know. What I always say is to enjoy the moment. The gift is excellent and I have to continue to enjoy it.”

Ronaldo made a record move to the Italian football club last year after winning his fifth Ballon d’Or and third consecutive champions league trophy with Real Madrid. He went ahead to score a total of 28 goals in 43 games during his first season at Juventus.

Ronaldo also contributed to the team’s record Serie-A League title in the last campaign. However, should he decide to the club next year, the Italian side and football lovers, in general, will truly miss him.
