French striker, Karim Benzema has continued to be linked with a transfer away from Real Madrid and the Champions League holders are believed to be eager to cash in on him.
However, it appears their most influential player, Cristiano Ronaldo will not have any of it and has reportedly threatened to quit if Benzema is sold.
According to reports from Spain, Ronaldo is in support of Benzema’s stay at the club so as to contribute to the team’s push for the La Liga title next season.
Multiple times in the past, Ronaldo had previously threatened to leave Real Madrid on some occasions, including during his demand for better contract agreement and to protest the club’s interest in Chelsea’s star Eden Hazard and Atletico Madrid’s forward Antoine Griezmann.
