RUGA has allegedly commenced in Ebonyi state. Fulani Herdsmen have allegedly arrived Ebonyi state en masse with their wives, children and cattle ready to begin a new life in the state.
This News was disclosed by a Freelance Journalist who resides in Ebonyi state, Timothy Chinonso on his facebook page.
The Fulani Herdsmen who allegedly arrived Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi state were conveyed in several trailers and buses loaded with their belongings.
When the youths of Izzi community came out to oppose their stay. The Herdsmen made claims alleging that Governor Umahi sold the land to them and it was their right to occupy it. This led to a heated argument that could have erupted into a big fight, save the timely intervention of the Police.
The Police mediated between both parties and took the Fulani Cattle rearers to another area with a large expanse of land where they could begin their new lives. The land given to the Cattle Rearers was big enough to accommodate their wives and children, as well as raise and graze their cattle.

According to Timothy who works with Ebonyi Media, “They were later directed to another land still in the same state to settle, rear their cattle, graze the land, born and train their children and as well install their Emir in non distance time.”
It is presumed that Governor Umahi allegedly sold the land to Fulani Herdsmen ahead of his 2023 Presidential ambition. This explains the reason the Fulani Herdsmen who came in 20 trucks were fully guarded by Security Operatives to defend them against anyone who tries to resist their settlement.
