Russian Billionaire’s 19-year-old Son Takes Public Transport To Work, Runs Three Businesses

Alexander Fridman has got to be the most modest 19-year-old in the world. In spite of the billionaire status of his Russian father, Alex has chosen to fend for himself and live off his own earnings.

Alex born to a man who is the 11th richest person in Russia, lives in a $500 two-room flat in Moscow.

“I eat, live, sleep, dress in everything that I earned myself,” said Fridman, 19, whose father, Mikhail Fridman, has a $13.7 billion fortune, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

The 19-year-old upon his high school graduation, established SF Development , a distributor company that comprises five employees and $405,000 worth of revenue. Alex also has another company specialized in hookah products distribution to restaurants in Moscow. He has plans to debut BloggerPass, an online marketing firm net month.

Although Alex wants to be financially independent of his dad, he still benefits from his father’s connections. SF Development supplies products to his father’s retail shops as well as other big stores.

The 19-year-old Business tycoon in the making disclosed that he grew up with the belief that his father’s wealth would not be bequeathed to him.

According to him, “I lived with the understanding that I wouldn’t inherit any fortune.”
