Mrs. Sade Ale, the kidnapped wife of Olugbenga Ale, the Chief of State to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, has regained her freedom.

The Sun reported Mrs Ale’s release on Saturday afternoon.

Reports of her abduction in Owena, Ifedore Local Government Area of the state filtered in Thursday night.

She was said to be with another woman on the Akure-Ondo Highway while coming from Lagos, where they had gone to buy goods for sale in Akure, when they were abducted.

It remains unclear whether or not her family paid a ransom to secure her release.

However, what is clear is that the victim has been reunited with her family members, who were said to have been relieved by her release.

Sade Ale’s abduction came hours after unknown gunmen shot dead the Olufon of Ifon in Ose Local Government Area, Oba Israel Adeusi, who was killed around Elegbeka on Owo-Ifon Road.

Details of her release remain sketchy as of press time.
