The following in the footsteps of Governor Nyesom Wike who gifted Rivers State Judges with new cars, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, handed over 51 new SUVs and eight houses to Judges in the state on Wednesday.
The new vehicles are in addition to the 50 official cars given to magistrates in the state earlier in the year.
Sanwo-olu who said the vehicles were for the newly appointed Judges in the State, said it was impossible to practice good governance without a formidable Judiciary.

Sanwo-olu said,
“In handing over these 51 vehicles to our judges and eight houses to the newly appointed judges of the state High Court, we are ensuring that our judiciary has all it takes to seamlessly perform its duties as the bastion of the common man.”
The Governor said further that the Judiciary must reciprocate the support of his government by deepening the rule of law and swift delivery of Justice without compromising it’s independence.
