The Lagos State Commissioner of Health, Akin Abayomi, has confirmed that Governor Sanwo-Olu is responding adequately to Covid-19 treatments.
Abayomi made this known via a Twitter message on Sunday night.
“Governor Babajide Sanwa-Olu is responding well to Covid-19 home-based care and treatment,” the Tweet read in part.
“He is in high spirit and very appreciative of your prayers and well wishes,” it continued.
“I will be keeping the public informed regularly of Mr Governor’s recovery and wellbeing,” Abayomi’s tweet concluded.
The Governor was confirmed to have contacted the virus on Friday and had since been placed on isolation as per Covid-19 health protocols.
It was gathered that the Governor recently came in contact with some people who were carrying the virus.
Lagos state has an estimated death statistics of 200 resulting from the over 24, 000 known cases of the infection.
Authorities have used the opportunity to advise resident of the state to adhere strictly to all health regulations regarding the Corona Virus.
