Saraki made over N3 billion in last 3 years from reviewed Kwara Pension Law

Following the testimony of one of anti-graft agency, EFCC’s detective, Micheal Wetkas, as regards the ongoing trial of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki claiming he received continuous salary from the Kwara State Government for a period of four years after leaving office, the state government has however come forward to set the records straight.

The Kwara state government in response to the allegation stated that contrary to Micheal Wetkas’ testimony before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, the state government only paid Pension to Saraki after he left office.

Adding that: “From June 2011, former Governor Saraki started receiving his pension, which was N578,188.00 as other past governors in the country,” according to Isiaka Gold, the Secretary to the Kwara State government.
