Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo says the Saudi Arabian league is tougher than the Chinese Super League.

Odion, who plays for Saudi club Al Shabab, stated this on a Twitter space hosted by a football fan @thenanaaba on Wednesday evening.

The 32-year-old also played for Chinese clubs Changchun Yatai and Shanghai Shenhua between 2017 and 2021.

Responding to a question from a Saudi fan, Ighalo said that before arriving in Saudi Arabia, he had been told that the league was easy but met a different scenario.

He said that the Saudi league was tougher because of the calibre of players in the league compared to the Chinese league.

According to him, while no more than four foreign players were in Chinese clubs at the time he played there, Saudi teams boasted an average of seven quality foreign players.
