The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari was born on 17 December 1942 in Daura, Katsina State and today clocks 74.
The president in celebration of his big day was reported to have cut a bug cake and also released a total of 74 pigeons form a cage to mark his birthday.
On his anniversary register, Buhari wrote: “I am impressed with the special drills presented by the Guard Brigade.”
Present at the anniversary were dignitaries including Service chiefs, Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, some ministers, notably among which were the Information Minister, Lai Mohammed and Muhammad Bello of the FCT.
Also present at the event was the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, Presidential spokesmen, Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu.
