Mandy Teefey, the mother of former Disney star Selena Gomez had a mild medical scare after realizing just how serious her daughter is with Justin Bieber.
Selena and the Biebs got back together after the former broke up with singer The Weekend.
The two have since been spotted going to church together and reports say they are also receiving counselling.
The reunion has not gone down well with Selena’s family as her mother especially is not pleased with the relationship citing Bieber’s past behaviour as a serious reason she doesn’t want the two together.
After a particularly heated argument, Teefey was rushed to the hospital, but she was also released on the same day.
Reports indicate that Bieber has been trying to turn over a new leaf and become a better person. He also wants to show Gomez’s family that he is indeed changed.
A source speaking to People magazine said: “Justin is aware Selena’s family is not thrilled they are hanging out. They think he caused Selena a lot of grief. Justin hopes he can prove to them that he has changed.
“He has changed a lot in the past few months. He is a very different person. They have a lot to talk about and are having fun catching up.”
