Senator Ben Bruce has called on President Muhammad Buhari to declare a state of emergency in the educational sector.
He said this is because the geometric increase in the population is growing faster than the economy.
Ben Bruce who is fondly called the Common Sense Senator, in a video which he released online said that a well educated population is an asset to a nation but an uneducated population becomes a liability.
He also stated that uneducated countries are prone to violence and crime which cripples an economy.
The Common Sense Senator went further to list the ten most educated and non educated countries citing the impact of education to a country to be peace and stability.
Ben Bruce thereafter urged the president to look into developing a more educated population else we may join the list of uneducated nations.
