The presidency has called for the prosecution of Sen. Elisha Abbo (PDP – Adamawa North) for alleged assault on a nursing mother in an Abuja sex toy shop.

A trending CCTV video purportedly shows Abbo slapping the woman three times and ordering her arrest.

The video sparked outrage among Nigerians, with many calling for his arrest.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, also joined the call, and advised the senate against protecting the erring senator.

According to her, the footage is enough evidence of the senator’s culpability.

She said, “To think that this PDP guy .was said to have “defeated”one of our most respected female parliamentarians, Senator Binta Masi Garba. The Senate must not protect him. He should be charged . The footage is enough evidence . He deserves to be in Prison”
