The House of Representatives joint committee on Ethics and Privileges and Foreign Affairs have summoned US ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle along with  three Nigerian lawmakers to appear before it on the 14th of July over the allegations that 3 Nigerian Lawmakers engaged in illicit activities while in the US.

The lawmakers, Samuel Ikon (PDP, Akwa Ibom), Mohammed Gololo (APC, Bauchi) and Mark Gbillah (APC, Benue) were said to have solicited sex while in a  Cleveland hotel on official duty.

While one of the lawmakers was accused of grabbing a hotel attendant and soliciting sex, the other two were said to have asked a hotel attendant to procure prostitutes for them.

The visas of the three lawmakers have since been terminated.

James Entwistle is expected to appear before the joint committee members alongside members of the Nation Human rights Commission and the three accused lawmakers.
