Veteran actress Shan George yesterday called out Andrew Ameh Ujah of SoundCity for allegedly collecting a sum of N100, 000 from her with an agreement to play a music video she was promoting on the music channel which he has allegedly refused to play since 2014.

The actress took to Instagram to accuse Andrew who is the Head, New Media at SoundCity writing:  “This person Andrew Ameh Ujah alias DRO who works wit Soundcity insisted i pay him 100k before he plays a music video i was promoting. this is evidence of dat payment. he has not played dat video even once since then. wen i asked him wots up. he said my video SUMMER ROSE by JAGA. directed by MATTMAX is a rubbish video dats why he didnt play it. a video he saw and approved before asking me to pay d 100k. yet he didnt refund my money. my pple abeg wots ur take on this?”

However, in a telephone chat with a THENETNG correspondent, Dro admitted collecting the money in 2014 but however denies having an agreement to play the said video on Soundcity.

‘Yes she paid me 100k but it was not for airplay on Soundcity. I am not even in charge of playing videos,’ he said.

He further disclosed that the agreement he had with the actress was about promotion on digital platforms which he kept up to.

‘I didn’t collect money for video airplay. They only agreement we had was for me to help promote the artiste on digital platforms which I did.’

Andrew who is also known as ‘Dro’ further revealed that following accusations from the actress, he has since tried refunding the money she paid him through the person who connected them but the actress has reportedly frustrated the move.

‘I have made attempts to refund her money but she has been frustrating the move saying she would have gotten returns if the money was invested. That was what Deji, who linked us together, informed me when I said I wanted to repay’.
